24 weeks~ baby i2

DATE:  June 27, 2013

How far along:  24  weeks = viability...

Total Weight Gained:
As of my previous appointment I'd lost 8lbs. total. Last appointment, I'd gained 3lb of those 8 back.  So still at 5lb from start.

How big is baby?  "your baby's the size of a canteloupe!"
"Your 10.5-to-11.8-inch fetus weighs about 12.7 to 20.8 ounces. "

How baby is growing:
  • "Her see-through skin is gradually becoming more opaque."
  • "And it's got a new pink glow, thanks to the small capillaries that have recently formed."

Maternity Clothes:  I can still wearing regular comfy pants and big shirts for the most part. If I put on real pants/shorts, then they are most definitely maternity!  A lot of dresses and skirts oh and pajammies of course.

Sleep: Still worn out all the time. Still been waking up a few hours in the middle of the night then falling back asleep shortly before it's time to wake up. I think I need a snoogle! :)

Best Pregnancy Moment of the Week:     Lily and Andrew feeling her move!

Movement: Around 20 weeks, I started feeling her move more and more. Now she's kicking the crap out of me all day everyday. I love it!! She's my latest baby to feel. The previous few weeks it was very regular movement around 10am, 2pm, 6pm and 10pm.  Nothing at all like my other pregnancies.

Food Cravings:  frozen coke, cereal--mostly Captain Crunch, water, lemon-lime powerade, dill flavored anything--popcorn, chips mostly

    Food Aversions:
    none really lately

Gender:  our second precious baby girl

Symptoms:  irritability, exhaustion, swelling feet at the end of the day, lots of low pressure

What I miss: not feeling exhausted all the time...

What I'm looking forward to: Being settled in our new house and getting baby stuff ready!

    1. Yay for 24 weeks!
Yes, you need a snoogle, since owning one I have had the best sleep!!! Worth the $$

Also, Captain Crunch is not an official memeber of the Navy, just so you know. This was a big news story, I just want to make sure you are clear on the facts ;)

New house & New Baby! Woohoo!

At any rate, take it easy with the moving & put your feet up as much as possible! swelling sucks!
